Anatomy of the Featherweight Max Sports Bra

Anatomy of the Featherweight Max Sports Bra

When we say Victoria’s Secret bras are unlike any other, we mean it. Need further convincing? Here’s a breakdown of all the thoughtful details and innovative design elements that go into our Featherweight Max—a true fusion of style and support. Because as all bra-wearers know, the feeling of finding a piece that looks and feels good? Priceless.

INJECTION MOLD PAD TECHNOLOGY

This technique reduces waste and creates honeycomb perforations that allow for airflow and lightweight flexibility. Translation: a very comfortable wearing experience.

TURBO DRY LINER

Much like how trees transport water from their roots to their leaves, this speciality liner moves moisture away from the wearer’s skin for faster evaporation.

BOUNCE CONTROL

For us to claim any level of support, we always run an extensive series of internal tests. For the Featherweight Max, we had models with both smaller and larger cup/band sizes complete various heart rate-raising activities to make sure the bra provides the same level of compression for all.

LASER-CUT PERFORATIONS

Strategically placed along the front neckline of the bra where sweat tends to accumulate on the body when working out, these sleek details help the wearer stay cool and dry.

BREATHABLE WICKING FABRIC

Much like with bounce control, to claim that the polyamide and elastane fabric used in the Featherweight Max are breathable and wicking, we had to run a series of rigorous tests to prove it (and we did just that!).

ADJUSTABLE CUSHIONED STRAPS

The padding at the front straps provide added comfort to the shoulders, which is key during a rigorous workout– traditional sports bras don’t have this feature.

BONDED SEAMS

An innovative technique which of joins the fabrics together and doesn’t require stitching with thread. This creates flatter, more comfortable seams, less chafing in high friction areas, and, bonus, a much sleeker look.

ADJUSTABLE BACK CLASP

A hallmark of most traditional bras, this feature comes in handy so wearers can perfectly customize the fit of their bra.
