I like to think of myself as something of a movie connoisseur, and holiday films are no exception. They’re comforting, funny, romantic, and sometimes action-packed (you’ll see what I mean later). These movies are best watched with a snack and some on-theme Pajamas. Here are my pairings for your ultimate holiday movie pajama party.
Home Alone
Pair With: A Classic Festive Set
We’re starting off strong with a personal favorite. There is nothing more holiday than Home Alone. The color palette of rich reds and greens, the gorgeous home (in which Kevin is, you know, alone), the incredible soundtrack that can make me cry just by hearing the opening chords. Pair this absolute classic with a hot chocolate and an equally timeless festive Pajama Set like these in Heritage Stripe.
The Holiday
Pair With: A Luxe White Modal Look
This is one of those movies that doesn’t *feel* as holiday-esque as the others, and is more for fans of a good old rom-com. That said, it’s still a goodie, and has some major outfit inspo by way of Cameron Diaz’s amazing loungewear looks. Snowy scenes, sweet romance, British accents—okay yeah this is fully a holiday movie. Match the vibe in this chic white modal Pajama set and enjoy a glass of wine.
Elf
Pair With: Present-Worthy Ribbons
I think more than any other movie, if I asked someone what their favorite holiday movie was, it would be Elf. It has everything: comedy, romance, a six-foot Elf, ice-skating, and even the World’s Best Cup of Coffee. Make like an Elf yourself and get wrapped up in a super-festive ribbon print Cami set to really get into the spirit. I do not recommend making Buddy’s spaghetti, though. Maybe just some popcorn.
Die Hard
Pair With: An Action-Movie Tank Top Ensemble
I know, I know. This is the leftfielder. But it does take place during the holidays, it is technically a romance, there are holiday decorations all over Nakatomi Plaza, so yes, this is a holiday movie (and it’s one of my favorites, thank you very much). Honor the action-hero vibes in a Ribbed Modal Tank Top and go barefoot, it’s what John McClane would do.
Love, Actually
Pair With: Cozy & Romantic Red
What can I say? The Brits really do holiday rom-coms right. This movie asked, “What if we combined every kind of love story into one movie?” and we said “Yes, PLEASE.” It’s a total gem. Embrace the love in a cozy red modal Pajama set and brew up a hot cup of tea, because again, British.
